380C Chrome air compressor — product overview
The VIAIR 380C is a 12V, permanently mounted compressor for higher-pressure air suspension and reservoir-based onboard air applications. This chrome version is identified in the OBA catalogue by manufacturer reference 38003. Select it according to the pressure and airflow your installation requires, as well as the electrical supply and available mounting space.
With a maximum rated working pressure of 200 PSI, the 380C is designed to supply compatible stored-air systems. Its 100% at 100 PSI; 55% at 200 PSI duty rating describes the operating interval at each stated pressure, rather than promising unlimited continuous use at maximum pressure. Actual tank recovery time will depend on the reservoir, starting pressure, system restrictions and installation.

Choosing and installing your compressor
Allow for suitable wiring, circuit protection, a compatible pressure switch, correct fittings, thermal clearance and manufacturer-specified mounting. Compressor airflow stated at 0 PSI is a free-flow figure, not guaranteed output at the system’s operating pressure. Consult VIAIR’s installation documentation before commissioning, and use the original performance tables below for additional reference.
380C is a truly-rated continuous duty, 12-volt, 200 PSI compressor. It is capable of filling a 5.0-gallon tank from 165 PSI to 200 PSI in 3 1/2 minutes consistently, while never pulling more than 23 amps of power (@ 13.8 volts). Features include a standard 1/4″ stainless steel braided leader hose with 1/4″ NPT inline check valve and insulated wiring.
Please Note: Use thread sealant for proper installation. Thread tape is not recommended.
Properly sealed, recommended torque for 1/8″ is 10 ~ 11 ft. lbs. Recommended torque for 1/4″ and 3/8″ is 16 ~ 18 ft. lbs.
