VIAIR 400P — overview
The VIAIR 400P is a 12V portable compressor intended for portable tyre inflation. Its manufacturer-rated free airflow is 2.30 CFM at 0 PSI, with a maximum working pressure of 150 PSI. VIAIR lists it for tyres up to 35 inches; actual inflation times depend on tyre size, starting pressure, environmental conditions and the air hose arrangement.
The stated duty cycle is 33% at 100 PSI. This is a usage limit measured at the specified pressure, not a claim that the unit can operate continuously at every pressure. Allow cooling time and follow VIAIR’s user manual. The compressor is suited to compatible vehicle tyre inflation and portable air tasks, within the manufacturer’s stated duty cycle and tyre size guidance.

Never allow the hose to come into contact with the head of the compressor during use (melting hazard). The use of the included air hose is not recommended in sub zero or freezing conditions. The 400P does not work with Presta bicycle valves, unless used with a Presta Valve Adapter.
